Style and perspective 

The story is told from the 3rd person narrator. The writer uses ‘he’ and ‘she’ because the characters in the book are just talking to each other. The writer also writes in informal language because the book is about children talking to each other. It is like ‘children language’. This makes it quite easy to read. Most of the time the writer writes in long sentences. Sometimes you come across short sentences but most of the time they are quite long. "Oh no! He's taken me back! The old man has taken me back into his dream", he said.
