Theme(s)

The main theme of the book is family. The writer tries to tell that you have to remember that you are always loved by your family. Even if you do not have parents anymore or you do not know your family, they are always close to you. Some other themes of the book are immigration, time travel and history. The title of the book says orphan, this means that you do not have parents which can take care of you anymore. Even though you do not have them anymore, you are still loved by your family in a certain way. Remember this!
